Heaven Hill Grain to Glass

Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Specialty Barrel Series

The Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series builds on the foundation of our traditional lineup while exploring how oak transforms whiskey. Using the same trusted Bourbon mashbill and Beck’s Hybrids corn seed varietals, this series ages in a unique barrel type selected annually by our Master Distiller in partnership with Independent Stave Company.

For 2025, our Kentucky Straight Bourbon was aged seven years in Chinquapin oak, a rare Missouri-grown white oak chosen to amplify depth and complexity. Bottled at 105 proof, it showcases the familiar Grain to Glass foundation with an entirely new flavor dimension, including notes of fruit, honey, and spice.

Tasting Notes

  • Color: Bright copper
  • Aroma: Toasted oak and roasted pecans layered with subtle cedar and a wisp of barrel char
  • Taste: Rich and viscous on the palate, unfolding with honeyed caramel, ripe red fruit, and a hint of orange peel
  • Finish: A soft, lingering sweetness of golden honey gives way to spiced oak and a delicate touch of white pepper
Farm Rescue

Family Farms First Initiative

Quality whiskey comes from exceptional grains. Exceptional grains come from passionate farmers. That’s why we’re proud to support family-owned farms through our partnership with Farm Rescue. A portion of every sale of Heaven Hill Grain to Glass, up to $100,000 annually, supports American farm families in times of need.

Well balanced with a hint of spice from the elevated Rye component. Aging in Chinquapin Oak adds complexity, enhancing the taste with warming spice notes.

1. Corn Seed Varietal

Each year, our master distiller works with Beck’s Hybrids to choose a new seed with varying attributes that grows best in Kentucky soil. We proudly display the specific corn seed used for each annual edition on the label.

2. Distilled

The distillation year or the year the product was made at our Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky is shown on every label.

3. Released

Our Whiskey is aged until our master distiller determines it’s ready for bottling. The year it is released is noted on the label for each edition.

4. Mashbill

Each product features a unique mashbill, different from our traditional Bourbon mashbill in its higher rye content.

5. Custom Cork

The Specialty Barrel Series bottles feature a custom cork that has a gold coin Heaven Hill Distillery seal insert, and the distillery name across the beveled sides.

6. Iconic Artwork

The Specialty Barrel Release labels feature an upper face label with the Grain to Glass icon, a key symbol of Heaven Hill Grain to Glass.

7. Key Information

The lower wrap label identifies these limited edition releases with each mashbill and the barrel type in which they were aged.

8. Distinctive Barrel

The Specialty Barrel Releases feature a tax strip, reinforcing the barrel type that the Whiskey was aged in.
