Each year, our master distiller works with Beck’s Hybrids to select a new corn seed varietal. That corn seed varietal is proudly displayed on the label, along with the unique mashbill that is different from our traditional Wheated Bourbon mashbill.

Each year, our master distiller works with Beck’s Hybrids to choose a new seed with varying attributes that grows best in Kentucky soil. We proudly display the specific corn seed hybrid used for each product on the label.
In total, we pulled 239 barrels from four rickhouse locations. Of those, 52 were casualty barrels, meaning over the years they’d become empty or off-taste. Only 188 barrels were ultimately blended and bottled for this edition.
Although this mingling includes 19- and 20-year-old Bourbons, this limited release is required to carry the age statement of the youngest, 17-year-old Bourbon. Production dates and percentages of each age are included on the label.
Each product features a unique mashbill, different from our traditional Wheated Bourbon mashbill in its higher wheat content.
The requirements for corn whiskey, distilled from a mash of at least 80% corn, are unlike any other straight whiskey. While there is no age requirement, if aged it must be done in one of two ways: either in a used, charred oak barrel, or a new oak barrel that has never been charred. This release highlights the best qualities of our traditional corn whiskey mashbill.
In total, we pulled 110 barrels from the third floor of rickhouse 1K. Located on the same campus as our historic Bernheim Distillery, 1K is one of the seven brick rickhouses at Heaven Hill made from brick. Together they hold 415,787 barrels.
This release is comprised of 20-year-old barrels, produced in October of 2002, and bottled in October of 2022.
